Bluegreen Resorts - Vacation Ownership Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We were approached at a bass pro shop in Nashville. My husband and i ended up falling for the time share vacation.

We paid 150$ for a 2 night stay in a destination of our choice. We booked the trip for the week of my 30th birthday. A fun celebration I thought. Until something bad happened and we were not going to be able to go.

We were told up front we could cancel at any time and recieve a refund. That story changed when we called almost a month before our trip to cancel. We would not recieve a dime back. Then we thought since we cant go we would give the trip to my mother in law.

When we called they said it was absolutely not an option. So now we have a trip no one can enjoy and a loss of 150$ I will say I learned my lesson though, and I have a mouthful for the man that sold us the vacation if we ever cross paths again.

So please beware of this. I hope that anyone who has booked a vacation through them doesn't have "life" happen and they have to cancel too.

I hate timeshare companies. They are really good at painting you this beautiful picture, but never following through with their promises.

Their employees make you feel like you are obligated to buy into this timeshare *** & this is your only bill that you have. They are good at lying to you & making promises they do not keep.

I wish I had never heard of Blue Green Timeshare Company before. This company has ruined my life.

After paying $550.00 for our vacation package, we went for the two hour presentation and the sales guy got mad because we didn't want to buy in so they didn't give us our tickets to the parks, complete waste of time, company is a scam...

Bluegreen Resorts - Customer Care Review

They also tried to deter me from buying a timeshare for sale by owner. First of all, they can't make you will it to your kids, if they don't want it, they don't need to take it. Second of all they say, only owners can stay at their resorts, what kind of indoors do they think we are. That makes no business sense, and I've already proved this to be false. THIRD, what kind of business for profit would say no to a future sale. They play on your emotions, don't go to a presentation unless you're ready to get into bed with this company, they mean to ***, if you don't think it out thoroughly for yourself.

I think Bluegreen has a "Right of First Refusal." This means that if you intend to sell your timeshare to another person (non-family member), you must submit the offer to Bluegreen. If Bluegreen finds your price acceptable, you must sell your timeshare to Bluegreen for the same price offered by your prospective buyer. You are still responsible for Filing Fees (about $500) and for Processing Fees (between $2,000 and $2,500 usually).

All timeshares are rip off. Bluegreen manipulatively sold a timeshare to us without telling us the facts.

They told us a lot of lies and withheld actual selling info. and now it is close to impossible to selling it. We have never been able to use it due to their change in policy and we were told we can only use it every other year.

We have to supposedly book months in advance.

Never buy a timeshare from Bluegreen or from anyone.

Bluegreen Timeshare are criminals and liars.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Lies, lies and more lies. Manipulative, deceptive !!

They use good-looking old retired ladies to win unsuspecting vacationers!! That is their step 1 of fooling people into buying timeshares. They give you a few freebies and steal $1000.00's of dollars from you. I am told now it close to impossible to selling it.

I have to pay at least 1500.00 to get rid of it in order not to pay maintenance fees which is for life. If I stop paying the fees I loose the privileges and eventually loose every dollar put into it.

Never got to use it because the only available time was during schools days. This company is sick to the core.

Bluegreen has a great scam. They show you beautiful rooms, promise you can go anywhere anytime. They will even buy it back if you're not satisfied. Lies. They drop the outrageous price until you can afford it. Then when you try to use it you can. So they pat you on the back and tell you, you bought a worthless package and you need to buy more for it to work. So we bought more...same thing, not a big enough package for it to work. "Buy More". No you buy it back...haha we don't buy them back, we're in the business to sell them not buy them back. We finally got out and our money back. Email me andykerr01@***.com

I purchased a Bluegreen Vaction club sampler 1/28/17 and decided it was not the best choice for me. I sent a cancellation letter via priority mail within 10 days of my sampler purchased in Orlando. I was expecting the process to be a little bit more exhausting from the reviews I've read however, to my surprised it wasn't. All the representatives I spoke to were pleasant and informative. I sent my letter on Saturday. They received and processed my letter on that following Tuesday. And received a full refund credited to my account today (Friday). Hope this brings some encouragement to someone.

Did you receive the RCI and BG books? If so did you return them? We are in the process of canceling.

Bluegreen Resorts - Vacation Ownership Review

Buyer Beware

Shoppers beware of Blue Green Resorts and Bass Pro Shop. Blue Green Resorts are located in Bass Pro Shops and try to get you to fill out an entry for a Bass Pro Shop $25,000 sweepstakes giveaway. Don't fill out drawing for the sweepstakes giveaway... ever. You will be hounded unmercifully with phone calls trying to sell you vacation rentals. First they lied and said it was not a time share and then they lied and said they would never contact us unless we won the grand prize. They call both my cell and my wife's cell twice a day...we filled out the sweepstakes over a year and a half ago, WOW! We asked Bass Pro Shop for help, since Blue Green Resorts are located in their stores, to get them to quit calling us or quit letting Blue Green into their stores, their response on both...NO. Bass Pro Shop maintains that they have no control over Blue Green Resorts, however, by allowing them to operate from inside the Bass Pro Shop store with a Bass Pro Shop giveaway they in fact do have all the control. By letting Blue Green promote their services inside the store reflects poorly on Bass Pro Shop and now I no longer wish to support them by shopping there.

If you read the back of any of the "giveaway entries" you will find that you are authorizing the promoter to contact you in any way possible. It is best not to fill out any of these forms, as they are only a way for the sponsor to prospect for sales tours.

Heavy on sales and very light on support

We attended a 'sales presentation' back in May. The 90mins was actually over 4 hours of really hard sell. If you ask to leave they tell you you can't or you don't get the stuff promised (never clear if this includes being over charged for the hotel you are staying in either). So you stay and finally they get to this 'magical' deal of a lifetime, so you sign thinking you got what you were promised and heavily sold on. Ten minutes for some girl in a box like office to read the contract (and record it) and you are on your way to 'as many wonderful vacations as you like' and 'in awesome resorts all over the world' where 'you can take the entire family', blah blah blah. 30 days later once you go live online for booking (and long past the cut off to cancel) you can't see the resorts you were told about, promised or actually would want to go to. So you wait a little longer to go live online with RCI and see the same thing. Doubt sinks in and you wonder what you really have purchased. Then the truth hits at the call back visit when they tell you "you don't have enough points" or "buy more points and you will be able to book". You are told that the package you have is "great, but" you can only book 2-4 days in off seasons in out of the way places you would not really want to visit anyway and to rub salt into the wound we can only do this every other year! So you explain what you were told to the new sales rep and she tells you "you were misled", "you have been not correctly informed" and you "really should get in touch with head office". She is scared to tell you much as she needs her job, but at least she had some personal integrity. So you do that and then starts the nastiness, rude staff, unreturned calls, complete lack of respect and support. They do not listen to your complaints or really even care. We were clearly lied to by the sales staff and their repeated response is "you signed the binding contract". They do not care what you were told nor promised as "you signed". The overall impression I get from this company is that the sales staff can do and say whatever they like and the head office folk don't care one way or another. Next step is to stop paying as what is the use, throw more money out the window or risk losing our credit? I don't care about the credit rating as I cannot justify working hard to have my money stolen after clear lies. Tried Better Business Bureau, but Bluegreen don't care they have your money and a legal document. So we will just sit back and see if they continue to chase us and try to sue us for the money. We are not citizens and returning to our home country in a few months, so lucky in this regard. A word of warning to anyone visiting Bass Pro - avoid the booth, do not buy a package to visit for a presentation, do not trust this company, avoid any dealings with them as they are rude, nasty, liars who skirt around their practices with small print and big promises.

Bluegreen Resorts - Review in Hotels and Resorts category

Your obviously not seeing the end game here.. it's definitely not a scam cause the definition of a scam is to deceive in an effort to gain money.. the end game on those promotional packages are to get you to purchase into they're timeshare company!! So think about it if they promise you an amazing vacation and don't deliver are you gonna buy into they're company at the sales presentation .. No!! I used to work at Bluegreens promotional division for two years and enjoyed it. They market their properties by giving away vehicles at malls, fairs, expos, movie theatres, etc.. you put into win to win a vehicle and if your selected for their promotional packages you get an opportunity to travel with them at a highly discounted rate. They have different promotions they run year round so it was a fun job. The reason the ask you the qualifying questions is because they wanna send qualified candidates that have the ability to afford purchasing into their company. So even if your selected on top of that you have to meet the qualifications.. It's simple marketing.. and since all their calls are monitored I can tell you that they stick to the exact details of what they're offering as to not mislead anyone. They even after you purchase, follow strict guidelines providing you an audiotape receipt detailing the promotion and exactly what your getting to protect you the consumer.. they're a company that's been in business for fifty years so they do everything by the book. Oh and the reason the calls come up from states you live in they use a VOIP system to save on long distance charges, all the big companies use them. Simple answers to simple questions if you took the time to ask, instead of being quick to believe what you want. The fact they've been in business for fifty years and have less complaints than Disney World should say something..

My wife and I purchased the 795.00 package. We were very impressed with the presentation and our package was activated within two weeks. Have already booked two different locations for a total of five nights and still have 4000 points left. So far so good. We also went to a presentation at Westgate, never met so many badly dressed and rude people in our lives. Anyone who has anything bad to say about Bluegreen, should try Westgate, you will change your tune in a hurry. The down side to this sampler is having to spend more time on another presentation, the up side is going ,so we don't get billed for $150.00 for not going

Training needed for employees when it comes to childcare

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We attended a presentation at the Falls Village Resort in Branson MO.. Presentation was great - superb even.

however.... When the presentation was over my husband caught my son with something in his pocket, made him return it to the lady in the child care room, and explained we have had a problem with him taking things that don't belong to him. My son became upset and began crying uncontrollably - NO HANDS WERE EVER PUT ON HIM. Someone contacted DHS where we live and reported that my husband slapped my son - which is a lie.

All you would need to do is roll back your property surveillance cameras to see that it never happened. If someone thought there was someone being abused... I understand contacting authorities HOWEVER to straight up lie about my son getting slapped is just flat out wrong and is gross negligence.

I would hope someone would train the person to recognize the difference between a child upset over getting in trouble and one that is suffering abuse. Stayed February 2017, traveled with family

So i paid the $150. They weren't clear about the qualifications. So two weeks before travel the rep tells me that i didn't qualify. She ended the call with an apology, and was shocked that i made it so far through the process without being given the right info. So they got my $150, and i had to cancell everything with no redund. THEY ARE SNEAKY at best.
