To get out of the Timeshare , maintenance fees

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We purchased the time share and immediately figured out that we re not the kind of people that can plan a vacation a year in advance. We contacted the time share exit team to help us but its been 4 years. They told us that we couldnt contact blue green or our contract would be void. We asked for a refund 1 year ago and now have lawyers involved. Wish we had known we could have contacted pennicle. Anyway , I talked to someone at blue green customer service and she had said that they wouldnt send us to collections for the maintenance fees but I dont think she had control. Micky was very pleasant and listened to me. He said he thinks we would be happy if we keep it. I am contacting pennicle.to discuss the fees.

Employee Orientation

Hello I thought in writing a review to make sure you know whats going on with people you put in charge of your employee orientations. I was hired by bluegreen resort Christmas Mountain in Wisconsin Dells. I was actually exited to start working there, but I completely changed my mind at Orientation day. It was one of the coldest days in Wisconsin (-0) and they put me( and other 3 people) in a manufactured room with no heatingat all. And the guys in charge of the orientation, I believe his name was Eddie , was pretending y tu o make us stay from 9 to 5pm. We were all complaining, feeling sick of how cold we felt. I felt so cold and sick I couldnt feel my legs. It was horrible!!! I decided to leave and never comeback. How dare a company like Bluegreen try to teach as about sharing Happiness and behave this way, specially with new employees!!!! What a bad impression I have!!!! I will never recommend this place to anybody just for the way I was treated.

Bike stolen from Blueg5 property

Updated by user Nov 10, 2020

I was unable to reach Mr Honeycutt either by phone as no one answered several tries or email, response I sent replying to his email was returned. I did find him on Linkedin and send a message with no response.

This is his reply email regarding theft below:Dear Joetta, Sorry I missed you yesterday when I reached out, I left you a voicemail and my number in case you'd like to discuss. I was sorry to hear about your misfortune with the bikes being stolen, I hate that anyone would consider such an action. I also noticed you were unhappy with the team’s response, my apologies if we mishandled the situation. I will certainly use it as an opportunity for training for what really is an extremely rare situation.

We do have security cameras around property but we don't have 100% area coverage. Although the HOA really can't be held responsible for lost or stolen property as posted around the resort, I'd welcome the chance to help in any other way I can. We filed an internal report but if you've reached out to the local police we'd be happy to work with them should it be needed. I hope this doesn't sour you on the resort, we sure hope to host you again someday.

If I can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to reach out via email or the number listed below. Until then, cheers and safe travels.Sincerely,Jeff HoneycuttResort Manager623 889-****

Our 2 bikes that were secure on Cibola Vista Resort property were stolen. We contacted guest services and were told there were no cameras and that there was nothing that could be done. A manager that I spoke with this morning was sympathic she took our information and said they would file a police report that was it. These 2 bikes were secured on Cibola Vista Resort. We feel a safer environment should be provided and should have been secure from theft. There should be some type of coverage that is offered for our loss. We are out of 2 bikes totalling $500 and all we hear is there is nothing we can done. Note to self take bikes inside next time.

They rectified the site so that it accepted my payment. They did not contact me and fined me for late payment.

Travelers Plus Through Bluegreen

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We booked a room in Nashville, TN during the April 2020 NRA convention. Due to Covid-19, the entire town of Nashville was shut down. We booked with no refund, because we knew we would be going. But, due to the pandemic, the hotels and town were shut down. We COULD NOT go. It wasnt because we wanted to cancel, it was beyond our control. We can not get our money back. We are out $300. I have been a Bluegreen owner for 20 years. A 60,000 point member. Your status doesnt mean anything.

So I really enjoy going on these vacations, but the process and the way the points are ran... has a catch 22 as they say. So you buy these points for $2.75 to $4.00 a point based on your timing (I spent over $9,000.00 for 6000 bi-annual taxes are $720.00 a year) and the sales rep... which means you own these points... now you can roll over the points to the next year for a $$ Fee, but only once. and you have to pay taxes yearly mind are (understandable) up keep, employees...ect but when you book your vacation there is a catch, apparently if it is High Red you can not use the roll over points,,, they take the new year point instead of the roll over points. So I booked 2 vacations this year one 3,000 points and one 1875 points I had (5,825 points bank) 3000 new points and 2825 saved. they took the 3,000 point vacation from the new annual points and the 1825 from the 2825 saved from last year. now there is no way to roll these saved points over again, and I have technically already paid for these points. and to add a day to the next vacation they want 1800 points for 1 day..... so basically they stole these points back seeing how they expire in 25 days....

Preferred solution: knowledge, research before you act

User's recommendation: review the check the color before booking vacations to verify the roll over points can be used.

Travelers Plus

Our Flight was canceled back in April due to the pandemic. I booked the flight through Bluegreen Travelers Plus and purchased protection. The Airline immediately refunded the third party that bluegreen outsources to take care of flight reservations. I called Bluegreen to ask how long before I get the refund...they didn't know because of the Pandemic and the third party. I called again a few weeks late and explained that the third party has already been paid, why doesn't bluegreen refund me and have the third party reimburse them? Well, the Bluegreen employee then said "it doesn't work that way." So I asked to speak to a supervisor.."I'm sorry I can't do that" What's your name.."Jose" Whats your last name.."I won't give that to you, we have privacy laws" But you have my first and last on your screen with my address.."I won't give that to you"..What's your supervisors name "O'campo" Let me speak to him.."he says no". Whats his first name? "privacy laws". From there I wrote an email to Bluegreen..no response. May 19 I receive an email to call 858-264-**** to get my refund options. I call and suddenly am transferred to "IAN" in flights. He has no idea what I'm asking and transfers me back, disconnecting me. I call the 858 # again and get "William", who says I need to speak with someone in Flights..I tell WIlliam that Flights has no idea why I'm talking to them.."oh no, dont worry" he transfers me to "ASHU". She immediately wants to transfer me back because she has no authority and "we do have your refund but its going to be a credit." I want a REFUND...Phone disconnects. So I call Corporate and speak to "Johnny". Explain everything and he is not sure about that third party and the refund. I explain the email and my frustration and Johnny works magic. Gets in touch with "Faria" or "Maria" in concierge and she explains and apologizes for her colleagues misunderstanding..that all they needed to do was verify the last 4 of my credit card and my refund would take place within 60 days. So Thank you to Johnny and for the rest of the Bluegreen employees I had to deal with thank you for the waste of more than 2 hours and aggravation. I will no longer use Travelers Plus for FLIGHTS.N

Misleading

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Me and my wife have contacted Bluegreen about terminating our contract. We are new members and we felt like we were misled and pressured about signing. We initially went in for a promo vacation ownership tour and ended up staying for about 6 hours listening to better deals while saying no everytime and everytime another person came out with a better deal than the first. It was a tactic that they used to make you think that the other person was giving you something better than the original sales person... Eventually after what felt like an interrogation we signed. Not knowing after we signed that everything that was sold to us was not what they told us!!! After signing they said that we had to do a new member orientation so that we can ask all the questions and address all of our concerns with taking advantage of how to use our points. Well before we went to orientation we were told that we could go anywhere around the world with no problems...we looked and tried and there was never any availability until about 1 yr out (which we wasn’t told upon signing).....here it was and we went to the orientation and it was nothing like what was told to us that it was going to be, in fact it was nothing but a sales pitch to get us to buy more points and that lasted 5 hours!!!! Well after the orientation we called Bluegreen to tell them we wanted out!! They sent us around to at least 4 different people with no resolution so we ended up calling Corporate owner services and we spoke to Khadijah which is the supervisor. She informed us that she was the last draw and that she needed to prepare a case and that a case manager will assist us within 3-5 business days....well after we spoke to Khadijah we posted on the Bluegreen Facebook and within hours we got a response from Christie which was suppose to be our Case Manager. She led us to believe that she was going to handle the situation and bring it to the board members within 2 weeks.....that was on Friday March 13th...she said that if we had any concerns during that time that we could call her. Well March 16th which was a Monday, we sent her a email saying that since she was sending our case through to be reviewed by the board could she waive the payment because payment is due on the 19th)which is a automatic withdrawal)We waited a day and there was no reply.....on March 18th which would be today we called around 1:00 and there was no answer so we left a message and still not even a email or call back!!!! I’m fed up at this point because it seems like with whatever she told us was a lie too!!! They are all full of lies and I won’t stop until I’m out of this contract that I could never use and that could mess up my life forever! I want out and I don’t care if I have to protest in front of Myrtle Beach Welcome Center to potential to members or call the local news but Bluegreen will be exposed for what they are truly about. It’s illegal and it false pretenses and larceny by trick!! I want out of this contract and I want out now!

AngryI purchased a vacation package and tried to use the opt-out before I left the resort. The sales office told me they could not take the letter. I sent the letter via certified mail well within the time frame and was still charged for a mortgage payment. To this date I have had the run around, no refund of deposit nor the payment.
