I purchased a weekend from Bass Pro Shops in Foxboro MA on Dec 27th. Cancelled it in 30 mins because they agreed they could not deliver what they sold me. Still waiting for my money to come back to me. If I were Bass Pro Shops I would be worried about my reputation...

I apologize if that came off in a rude way, it really was not meant to. I wanted to let you know about the resort stay.

But also about gift card. I should not have said the thief statement, I do not think you are a thief.

I think you just misunderstood the sale. I apologize.

Bluegreen Resorts in Chicago, Illinois - Bluegreen

Bluegreen is a rip off. They say you can travel anytime and they are wrong. They charge an arm and leg for these time shares and not to leave out their maintance fees are horrible. If you don't pay them in a lump sum, then you get slapped with late fees of $25.00 and 1.5% finance fee MONTHLY AND THEY TELL YOU I'M SORRY BUT WE ARE JUST TRYING TO HELP (WHO ARE THEY KIDDING, THEY THINK PEOPLE ARE ***). They are making out like bandits while they screw people over. I am waiting for the right time to sell. I might lose some but staying with them I will lose more. Oh, I did want to mention that when you call to reserve the Christmas Mountain in Wisc. they never and I mean never have room. If they do it's because people supposedly cancel. Thats all a lie. When you call to rent from them then they find space. Isn't that too funny. No that's what you call a bunch of liers. DON'T BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I got the pitch at Bass Pro-it was misleading to say the least. I am glad I cancelled our "vvacation".

Piggy, darling, sweetie pie, how, unless you worked for Bluegreen, would you happen to know the exact amount of openings they have at particular resorts? Sounds like more deception.

Darlings there are at least 6 reservations available at Christmas Mountain right now right upto and inclueding Christmass day.

You can set up a payment plan for $25 (you cant expect the rest of us to pay for your admin can you ) and pay your MF over 3 months

Yes, and I'm sorry to say that there will never be a good time to sell. In fact, I doubt you can GIVE AWAY your timeshare. Look up TUG.

On Oct 16, 2009 my truck was hit in Afghanistan by a bridge IED. I recovered to a point of walking with a cane now and that is how I was when I went to this bluegreen timeshare. Wife and I sat through the class, took a tour, and then the pressure was on. I told him...

To realist:

Please do not insult a hero of our country.

To Sgt. Marcum:

Thank you for your service and sacrifice to our country. I appreciate you more than words can say. The rep that you had was wrong for selling you the package if he knew you did not understand it. Wrong, there are no other words. I love my company and am a proud employee but just like with any other company especially sales jobs where you are paid on what you can sell it you will run into shady people. We are not supposed to sell of the customer does not understand. It causes something called a sales alert and can cause us to lose our jobs. What happened to you is awful and I hope that we can do something for you to fix this. Please contact our home office in boca and see what we can do. Explain the issue in detail and let me know what they say. I want your family to be able to enjoy our business and vacations. I do not want you to feel duped or cheated or tricked. Due to your neurological issues, I thinly it was wrong for them to try and sell to you that way. It isn't the company that is bad you got a bad rep who was being greedy. The company is flood and offers a good product. However, money can get the better of some people. Personally, I hope your rep was fired over this. God bless you and your family and I thank you again for your service and sacrifice.

Bluegreen Resorts in Saint Louis, Missouri - Seemed like a used car sales pitch

Went to Bass Pro in Branson. I was offered 150.00 gift card for Bass Pro. They said we could use in the store or at Big Cedar lodge on our next visit. We thought that sounded good for a 1.5 hour sales pitch that we knew we wouldn't buy. We told the sales agent we were not interested only wanted gift cards for the next visit. After 2 plus hours we got our coupon to go some where to get out gift cards. Do not make a life time decision in a few hours. I will never get those few hours back.

I was approached with the same type deal, but in Michigan. Run away!

Oh and fortinet, it is obvious you work for BG, why else insult someone. It is not freeloading if the express purpose of the trip is to get you to listen to sales pitch.

One has then fulfilled their obligation and therefore is NOT a freeloader. Methinks thou dost protest too much.

Pulltype,

I see that you have made a statement without knowing any of the facts, yes he could research TUG and all the other forums but to advise him that it was to bad that he had paid his MF is very poor advice indeed.

Bluegreen bought the property, it is far far below Bluegreen minimum standards (apart from the fact it is falling down) and needs a lot of work doing to it.

Lbship is one of the original owners who as allowed the previous owners/managment to let it get into such a state, he should have been paying enough MF over the years to pay for these repairs, he owns the week ,he has taken out all these years and now complains when he has to caugh up to repair his timeshare.

The remaining units /time that now belongs to the Bluegreen Vaction Club will also have to pay their share (but should they when the previous owners have let it fall down ?).

The only difference is that the BGVC units/weeks/points are in trust and the cost is spread across all owners.

In stead of a class action against Bluegreen he should have taken that action years ago when HIS managment group took HIS Mf and did not maintain the property.

He should be thankfull that BGVC has stepped upto the plate and are doing something about it, does he not understand that he will end up with a far better resort than he had previously.

He has had it too good for to long and always remember at some stage "somebody has to pay the ferryman"

A friend of mine who came across this comment told me about this. I have a few things to say.

I have been a bluegreen owner for the last 6 years. I have visited 14 destinations of which 8 were bluegreen resorts and 6 through rci. I am actually revisiting a beatiful resort in Destin Fl in june of this year. I cannot understand all of the issues I have read in the above complaint.

The only issue I have ever run into was that therr was no soap in our room last September in aruba. That was rectified very quickly :-). I would recommend bluegreen ownership to anyone. I was never promised anything I did not receive ever!

I went over all my closing paperwork twice.

Once with my salesperson and

again in a closed office when I signed all my papers. I am a very very happy ownef.

Bluegreen Resorts in Sacramento, California - Blugreen

We were in Las Vegas and got tricked into attending 90 min presentation for free vip show tickets and 100.00 each for gambling in Harrah's casino. They took us to Blugreen resort. The presentation lasted over 3 hours with high pressure sales tactics. We told them after we were no interested in purchasing since we were scammed by another timeshare in Napa, California (Riverpointe), and it was a big lie and finally were able to get rid of timeshare. After presentation and wasting our vacation time, we went back to get our gifts, which turned out to be phony also--got 100 dollars gambling in different casino, not Harrah's casino, but this was for comp gambling only on one machine. The free show tickets were not VIP but general admission, stand in line first come basis. All lies. Do not get involved with this scam.

@fortnet, why insult the original poster? Because you work for or are compensated by the company in some way.

If the vacation deal was for them to listen to sale pitch for 90 minutes , then they indeed fulfilled their obligation and are not freeloaders nor lowlifes. To say they should be shot sounds criminal to me. If you are so happy with the company, why trawl the complaint boards.

Perhaps the U.S. Attorney General's office should be contacted.

Going for the freebies and whe you dont get what you thought you were going to get you get all upset and complain

Get a life and top being a freeloader

People like you should be taken out and shot you are just a drain on society
