Last week 06/08/2009 we went to Gatlinburg. My in-laws went with us. My father-in-law was wanting to look at timeshares. We went to the flea market on Sunday where Bluegreen had booths set up. We were told that we would get a two night 3 day vacation and a 75...

:p You people(mike Jones) must be the only ones that are happy w/ blugreen. the lady that sold mine to me lied, just out and out lied!!!I pointed to 2 days that I wanted to use, not knowing how the points system worked, one day said 3500 and I said " oh is that for the week?

so they must just pro rate it for a day or 2" and she said" Oh yea it's something like that" LIE..

it was 3500 points per night..I only bought a small pakg of 7000 points for $2000.00 which meant that it was going to cost me $1000.00 a night but I did not find this out till I had signed and it was 2 months later that I tried to set up the date I had wanted.. We are still paying and can"t get out from under this...am trying to find help

We were told that we could use some of our points to pay our maintenance fees, but when we called to do that we were told no b/c there were too many customers doing that and that Bluegreen needed the money rather than allow us to use points. Well, their needing money...

We were suckered into this scam 7 yrs ago. Like most everyone else, everytime we try to make reservations, no matter where, we are always told "nothing available" at that location, would we like to make a reservation somewhere else.

We always try to make reservations at a place convenient to our location. The m/f are a rip off. Matter of fact, B.G. is a rip off, we have complained sooooo many times to no avail no results.

Now we are being hasseled by these creeps wanting to sell the thing. Upon the initial conversation, they make you think they are helping you without cost to you, before you know it these "slick ***'s" have your credit card number and bing bang bingo, your screwed...I would never recomment these timeshares to anyone...A TOTAL RIP OFF.....

I recently took advantage of a marketing package to the Fountains in Orlando. The 4 nights for the price was good. The catch is I had to attend an owners update. This started out as a very friendly review of what we had. Then we were told that there were several...

Just a comment, in the state of Virginia, the sales people are working directly for the builder( Bluegreen). A licensed real estate broker is not needed. All you need to remember is the word NO.

Bluegreen Resorts in Sumter, South Carolina - Do not buy sampler package!!!

My husband and I purchased a sampler package June 2008 and were informed that we had 12 mths to use it (June 2009). When I called to reserve my vacation, I was told that I couldn't use June because that was a red month, well that means we only bought 11 months. I was also told that there wasn't anything available for May 2009. I ended up spliting one week in Charleston and the rest in Myrtle Beach. Since I'd already asked for the 2nd week to be off from work, I had to take what was available.

I was shown a cabin at Big Cedar in Brason. Since I live in south Mo I thought it was be great get away with sort distance to travel.

However what they did not tell me was that it is impossible to get a reservation at Big Cedar ANYTIME of the year. They totally mislead me and I would not recommend the product to anyone!

I have contacted the Mo Attorney Generals office and filed a misrepresentation complaint.

sorry Eric but a sampler is just that and it does clearly state blackout days, again what comes out is people just want to use it for a cheap holiday at the expense of owners. Yes summer months and holiday periods are when most take their vacations, so yes those dates go to owners who pay to maintain those resorts. If you also had to pay mf on the sampler points then yes there should be no blackout days but since samplers come mf free then come on you can not expect to have your cake and eat it

What makes this scam even worse is that when they sell you the sampler package, they show you a book, which you take home with you. The book shows that many resorts are available throughout the summer, such as the Fountains in Orlando.

However, your contract (the fine print) states that these are not available during the summer months. Bluegreen chooses to enforce the contract, not the information which was shown to you during the sales presentation nor the information in the book they gave you to take home. Sorry, you are stuck with the contract. Now, if this is not nasty, deceptive, manipulative and unethical, I do not know what it is.

This is just a scam to get money out of folks who, statistically, are not very likely to actually purchase a full time share.

I recommend you do not ever do any business with Bluegreen Resorts. Eric

All this is a big scam; you can only take vacations when they want, to the places that they choose, there is always some hidden story in the deal, and if you do not like it and ask for your money back, "SORRY NO MONEY BACK"; either you take you vacations as we say or we keep you money/ and be aware this is only a SAMPLER.

we just purchased the sampler package and we were clearly told there were restrictions (I think, June, July and August) along with not being able to schedule during the holidays. We are already planning around these restrictions and are looking forward to sampling!

Bluegreen Resorts in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - Made us wait after others came in

We had a tour at Harbor lights on feb 21st. We checked in at arond 11:30. Our time for touring was 12:00. There was a few people ahead of us and alot more came in after us. We actually sat and talked to a couple that came about 20 to 30 minutes after us. They were one of the first called. We waited until around 12:20 and I WENT TO ASK QUESTONS. They had missplaced our paper work. They said someone would be right with us. About 5 more minutes passed and we told them we were leaving. I think this place stinks. People take thier time to go there and they get treated this way. We had a 40 min ride plus gas to get there. We were offered 75.00 +vacation + family pic to do this. We got nothing except our time and gas to go there for nothing. They didnt even seem to care. I think this place is a scam. I have family that travels down here alot and as of now I would not reccomened this place to them.

Bluegreen Resorts in Dawsonville, Georgia - Do your researcher before buying into resorts

We bought bluegreen paid cash and later found out you cannot book any dates anywhere with them. We demanded our money back within 10 days and received it back within 20 days. We were shocked by all the bad stories listed on the net. We tried to book at our choice and was told that there wasnt any vacancies for the next 15 months. We made it clear when we purchased we wanted to use the resort in TN seven or eight times a year. We later found out that it was booked 15 months in advance. We cancelled.run
