Bluegreen Resorts in Chicago, Illinois - Blue green doesn't deliver whats promised

we went to a sales presentation thru the bass pro shop offer. They put us up in a crummy motel in the next town. The sales pitch was hi pressure and we ended up buying the sampler pkg that they stated was good for a year - NOT! we told them we are educators and we only travel in the summer. After we had purchased this we found out that we could only use it until the following may (we purchased in aug.) When we called to book almost everything was filled plus they put resorts in our sampler book that they suddenly had taken out and were not available. We are so glad we did not fully commit to this company.

We purchased 2003. At that time our maint.

fee was $250. Now it is $965. We can never get a reservation when we need it. The rules for reservations constantly change.

Do some reading before you buy this!

You can call any timeshare selling company and rent any type of condo cheaper than you can afford this with all the fees, taxes and untrue claims they make each time you call them. We put our 15,000 points up for sale today, vowing never to get involved with this type of thing again!

Well we stayed at one in Myrtle Beach,SC. It was one of the resorts they own.

We went there because one of our friends actually owns property through them. The sales pitch wasn't to pushy. The only reason we went is because they offered a free weekend at one of their resorts.

Well we got the money sent out to get our free weekend and every weekend we picked was booked. We've selected MANY different weekends & right now it's almost expired so it doesn't look as if we'll be using our "free weekend" we were "giving" in order to sit through that ***!!

Bluegreen Resorts in Charlotte, North Carolina - Bluegreen cancelled my trip and would NOT refund my airfare!

Bluegreen called me on Feb. 1 to confirm my trip to Aruba on Feb. 20. They re-confirmed my info, but when I told them I had lost my job since agreeing to go on the trip last year, they decided to cancel me. Here's the kicker. They refused to re-imburse me for my airfare which I paid for!!!!!! I was ok with them cancelling the trip due to my unemployment. But since THEY are the ones who chose to cancel, they should re-imburse me for my airfare. What an unprofessional operation! Never do business with these people. Angela Parker

They didnt owe you airfare. Get a grip. People have to start taking responsibility for what they do.

I take it you took out insurance so you can claim it back, or are you one of those leaches just after a free trip.

Surley you knew they would cancell you since you had no income to buy a timshare. Why did you not just go on the trip and then say no thank you when it came to the crunch.

Ways and means around everything

BLUEGREEN RESORTS TIMESHARE

I am a bluegreen vacation owner and I haven't used my points in years because I own my business and haven't had the time to go on vacation. Now that I have time, I can't even use my points. I have 8000 points but only 4000 can be used for high red season and the other four can be used for low red. That means, I can't go anywhere for more than 2 days. I just want to say. DO NOT BUY TIMESHARE FROM THEM. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I start to ask questions about what resorts I was able to use all my points and the lady put me on hold and never came back.

I have 10,000 points per year that I have been trying to sell for a while now. If you are interested I am not asking for much, and if you upgrade through them it is much more expensive.

Bluegreen Resorts in Knoxville, Tennessee - Bluegreen sales scams

i was called by bluegreen to tour their resort offered me 4 airline tickets anywhere in u.s.. to be a 2 hour tour ended being all day and no airline tickets. was told they where out. gave us a two night stay in gatlinburg. we have friends with cabins we can stay in free.we would not have wasted our day for that. woman at counter was rude! we made calls to five or six places. talked hours with people since aug. still don't have any tickets. its just the point of them lying. i have on their letterhead where i was to received free airline tickets. the problem is between the people who call you and make the arrangement and then the people you meet in person at the resort do what they want. the lady from the call center i believe tried to help us. but could get no results her self. so even if you get it in writing does not mean anything. i would stay away from this company. if they will lie to you on something this small amount of money what will they do with the big money you spent on their resort. i would not trust their contracts myself. i hate to be scamed

The exact same thing happened to my wife and I. We were promised 4 free airline tickets to anywhere in the US back in mid-summer.

We still do not have the tickets and we were also told they were out and they have never mailed them to us. Repeated phone calls to them have been ignored. Our 90 minute presentation turned out to be 3+ hours. A lot of pressure to buy regardless of what they say on the phone.

We did purchase the option that gives you the right to still get the same deals offered on that first day with points which will be used for an Aruba Vacation. We have those reservations but will be interesting to see what kind of unit we actually get at LaCabana in Aruba. Still waiting on the airline tickets and Blue-Green will be getting a visit from me personally at their sales center in Pigeon Forge.

I will be carrying copies of many of these complaints to hand out to their potential prospects. Beware of Blue Green

Bluegreen Resorts in Jacksonville, Florida - Bad Company, Bad Service

I purchased a free week-end through Bass Pro Shops for a weekend in a Blue green resort retreat. I selected Daytona, Florida as my first choice and was waiting for the weekend in January for my visit. However, I was soon told that Daytona area was no longer available. I then picked St. Augustine as my destination. I received a confirmation email letting me know of my reservation. Now, just a few days before my trip to St. Augustine I am told that St. Augustine is no longer available. How many more times will I be told that I have reservations and then find out otherwise. They are liars! Word to the wise: do NOT purchase one of the trips from Bass Pro Shops or any other store that involves Blue Green Resorts.

Bluegreen Resorts in West Palm Beach, Florida - Ripped Off Big Time

My husband and I bought a timeshare from Bluegreen on 2/21/04, were supposed to have it paid off in 1 year, and are still getting charged for it. We have never used it, can't sell it, can't rent it and are getting harassing calls from them about it. Who do you get in contact with to end this nightmare? If you call them with a complaint, they tell you that you have to call another number, call that number and get another number, and so on untill you are paying more in phone bills than they are taking for the payments that are 3 years overdue for stopping. Our family was the two of us and one son with one on the way when we bought in, but we now have four sons. The financial hardship is killing us. Then to top it all off, about 8 months into our contract, we get a letter telling us that we can not use our points and cannot do anything with the timeshare except pay for it. What now?

Hello, I was wondering did you get rid of this time share. I file complaints with Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Protectio Agencies in South Carolina and Florida, I don't know what else to do.

They scammed us big time.

Thank you

Rip Off artists Bluegreen Resorts Consumers beware.

Shady company, from Bass Pro in Rancho Cucamonga, California Blue green resorts promises $59.00 3day/2night Las Vegas getaway with a 90 min presentation once there, however you can't check in until 4pm and your hassled on the phone for upgrades and services, next day the presentation takes 3 hours, and they do presurre you to buy. There was supposed to be no taxes on the room since they own the resort. (what a lie they do charge your credit card). Check out was supposed to be at 10am and we were rushed out at 7am due to some reason that was not explained to us and to top it off we were charge for food items we never consumed, dispute is in process with our credit card company. Consumers beware, like mom always said"if it's to good to be true it's blue green resorts".

I have never had any problems with Blue Green resorts. Our stays have been great; however, we did not buy into the started package, we purchased a higher level so we had more options and points to use. We just got back from a weekend at The Cliffs at Long Creek in one of the deluxe condos.
