My wife and I purchased a vacation club membership with Blue Green 6 years ago which we paid in full. We we're deeded into a place called Shore Crest in South Carolina. We had some financial difficulties in 2007 and were not able to pay our $500.00 maintenance...

Bluegreen Resorts in Amery, Wisconsin - Blue Green Resorts

The presenter was running 25 minutes late. We were told we would be in and out in 90 min. We were there over 2 hours. Early in the presentation I respectfully told the presenter (in Minneapolis) his examples of death were inappropriate for this type of presentation. Later on he actually drew a casket with a body in it. In reference to taking advantage of things before you are in the ground! He made attempt to adjust his inappropriate pressuring and manipulation to make the audience feel more comfortable. He used the word "failure" multiple times; another attempt to bring people down and manipulate them. After the presentation, the sales woman we were set up with was extremely condescending in her attempts to pressure us. This was a very uncomfortable and misleading experience. We were promised restaurant gift card as in incentive and then were denied this. I would suggest people stay away.

I also attended a lengthy (promised 90 mins but lasted four hours) boiler-room with Bluegreen. I have to agree that Bluegreen's sales methods are unnecessarily high-pressure and their customer service is well below standards.

When I was walking out, I finally decided to purchase a sampler.

If you have ever had the experience of a four star or, better yet, a five star resort then you know that not all of Bluegreen's properties are up to that level of service or amenities, even though they claim all their properties fall within that classification.

This is one of those painful life lessons where buyer must beware because, candidly, Bluegreen is in it for the money. I don't fault them for the business but point with serious disdain at their business practices.

I was suckered in to timeshare purchase being told vacation was 1400 points week when in essence it was a day.Luckily I read contract and you have 10 days to void the contract. I cancelled on June 2 2008 and still awaiting deposit refund but they did tell me contract...

I read here that Bluegreen Resorts rents rooms to the public. We just did a tour of one of their Myrtle Beach resorts on 6/6/08, and the saleman told us all of the guests that we saw were owners and they do not rent to the public. We could not afford their vacation...

Viking, way to go. I hope everyone who comes this site reads your comments.

I used to sell the mini-vaca in Destin many years ago and while some people were like you, most wanted the "deal" but were scared to death of the sales person. I would try to explain to them to just say no and then enjoy the trip.

I honestly could not believe how terrified people were of the time-share presentation so I salute you. Write a book and I will buy the first copy.

Unfortuantely we did purchase Blueegreen Resort points. We have never got to use them. We were also told that they would sell our other time shares through a place called Pinnacle. We were told that they just worked exclusively on time share reselling. What they...

No I do not work for Bluegreen and all can say is it is about time the owners started to sue some of you complainers. You bought a timeshare .....

live with it .....

you should have known what you were buying. Stop trying to sue because you did not know what you were signing for

Our family too attempted several times to book rooms to Orlando and Myrtle Beach using our points, or through bonus time, and right NO rooms available. But much to our surprise we could book rooms through their rental part or even at hotels.com. We got the same...

Bluegreen hater why oh why did you buy into a timeshare vacation club if you never plan ahead

traditional timeshare gives you no option but to go the same week year after year, this systm gives you the fexability having said that if YOU cant or will not commit to making plans in advance Please dont knock those that do and one other very important point I would like to make is

If you could get a decent 2 bed unit in some of the nicest resorts that sleeps upto 8 people at very short notice then I am afraid that alarm bells would be ring since in all the yrs I have been going on holiday (and I can till you thats quite a lot) I have never and I say never seen the best rooms at good resorts be available as a late deal.

So get real and try planning like most people do and stop making an ar*e out of yourself by makeing such silly comments

How many points do you have?

R U even still married? I don't think you can blame BG for anything.

The biggest problem with this world today is no one wants to take responibility for their actions.

I hope you do not have kids as you obviously would be a bad example! You negate the people who have legitimate complaints.

I had a wonderful time in Vegas!!!

The presentation was in a group setting and very interactive even funny at times. After the group meeting, we met with individual reps that through their pitch a couple of times but we didn't ***. If it wasn't a immediate push for your money, I would consider purchasing a timeshare but this is something that should be thought about not jumped into.
