Beware to anyone reading this! If I had known how much Bluegreen inflates fees and flat out lies against their contract, I would have ran away! They started billing us fees 2 months after we signed a contract that we had the first YEAR paid. They charged us 'over...

Call 11 months out. I've gotten reservations calling within two months, but it's risky.

Everyone who owns Bluegreen can call eleven months out but most people don't so your odds are pretty good then at the resorts BG owns (which is most of them). The BG units in the affiliate resorts are sometimes gone by eleven months out, though - check the BG website to see which ones are affiliates or owned.

Ironically, it's the affiliates that have a bluegreen dot on their page; the owned resorts have an orange dot. Go figure.

The yahoo bluegreen group has some great advice if you want to check them out, but you're on the right track in wanting to reserve early; just do it at eleven months instead of twelve.

I've reviewed several entries & see a common theme. Deception. I've developed that opinion myself. During our purchase we pointed out something in the contract that wasn't explained in the negotiations. They compensated us with a certificate of points....

Just got back from Big Cedar as part of a trial package. My family and I enjoyed it very much.

We did however see some things during thier sells pitch that seemed too good to be true. Also I did not like the fact that we were not able to properly study thier contract before deciding yes, or no. Each time we refused to *** they did offer us a lesser priced deal.

Never dealt with time shares before and before anyone does I would recommend that they really study the contract before signing. Any place that will not allow you to do that has to be shady!!!

Sales promotion for bluegreen resorts

We are bluegreen owners and we were called at home and told as we had not spoken to anyone in management since we joined that they were interested in getting our opinion as to how we felt about bluegreen. We naively thought this would be a great opportunity to learn more about how to use our ownership and also let them know that we were not very satisfied. As I should have expected it turned into nothing more than a high pressure sales tactit to try to sell us an upgrade of our membership. We were deceived and when we directly asked the salesperson if worked on commission he flatly denied it and insisted that he was there a travel coordinator for us if we bought the upgrade. And this upgrade was bargained priced for today only of course for around $9,000. He wasted more than an hour and a half of my own, my wife's time and my daughter having to wait for us in the playroom. It was demeaning, deceptive and I think these type of sales tactics should be into and perhaps a formal complaint should be filed.

I feel your pain! I paid off my 1st mortgage of which the payment was $126.00 now, I'm paying $245.00and my maintenance fees are over one thousand dollars.

REALLY... They tell you Bluegreen will se it for you... *** they won't even buy it FROM you??? Once I pay it off Ill never upgrade again.

I do vacation once a year but you have to book a year in advance to get what you want!! Do the math... At $245.00 a month and over $1000.00 maintenance fees.. That is a freakin expensive one week vacation!!

The interest on these mortgages are sky high and you CANT give it back & wLk awY or they ruin your credit!! No more!!!

Bluegreen Resorts in Washington, District Of Columbia - BLUEGREEN SUCKS!

BUYER BEWARE! AS THEY FILL YOU FULL OF BS AND BULL ON YOUR DREAM VACATIONS, THEY STAB YOU WITH AN UNTALKED ABOUT 800 DOLLAR INITIAL ANNUAL BILL BEFORE YOU EVEN USE IT! YOU CAN TAKE AN AWESOME VACATION FOR WHAT THEY STEAL FROM YOU! TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTING. MUCH BETTER TO SAVE YOUR CASH AND FIND A REASONABLE VACATION SPOT ON YOUR OWN THAN TO SEND MONEY TO THESE FACELESS WOLVES. THEY ALSO TALKED OF A RED, WHITE, AND BLUE PROGRAM FOR MILITARY ONLY SPECIALS, I RAN INTO A CIVILIAN FRIEND WHO GOT EXACTLY THE SAME DEAL, THEY PLOY YOU ON RENTING YOUR WEEK FOR A HUGE MONEYMAKER AT DAYTONA FOR BIKE WEEK AND WHISPER NOT TO TELL, EVERYONE GETS THE SAME SPEECH, VERY DISSAPOINTING! I HOPE THE COMPLAINTS PILE UP THROUGH THE ROOF TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND BEYOND! MARK WILLIAMS, U.S. AIR FORCE

Recently, my fiancee attended a Bluegreen timeshare tour in exchange for a free weekend vacation in Myrtle Beach. I told her not to buy anything the day of the tour. The tour was supposed to be for 90 minutes. At around 120 minutes, I became worried and called her. She...

SO I take it you are still taking timeshare tours for free gifts? There are those of us that love our ownership, had the money to buy and vacation with our family every year. Its not a scam, some of us had the courage to buy and still own.
