Matthews, North Carolina

We bought the $199 Blue Green Resorts promotion through Bass Pro. We then booked four nights in Charleston, but we were told that in order stay in historic Charleston, we would have to pay a $200 "upgrade" fee. We wouldn't do that, so Blue Green put us up at the A Loft hotel near the airport, which was fine. We did attend the sales pitch which wasn't too bad, but we said no thanks. The sales person had her supervisor come over, and he went through all the options, including the "sampler". Again, no sale. Funny that they start out with something that cost $13k and ended with one for $800! But overall, our experience was pretty good. I wouldn't say that we were particularly pressured, both the sales person and her manager took our "no" without an argument.

While we did have to put up with a two hour pitch, we walked away without buying in. The cost for our stay in Charleston was $199, but we earned $150 in Bass Pro gift cards. So our net cost was under $50 for four nights. Not bad!

So Bass Pro, we will be seeing you soon to get that electric trolling motor we have had our eyes on!

Reason of review: Good customer service.
