We were told that we could go on a cruise if we purchased. No cruise.
We were told if we take their credit card, we could use the points we earned on the credit card to pay for the maintenance fees. We were told we were purchasing every other year, and maintenance dues would be $200.00/year. The points from the credit card were not enough to pay the first year's maintenance fees and we had to add $135.00 to the points and now we are receiving a bill for more maintenance fees and it has only been 1 year. When asked about it, we were told you still have to pay the maintenance fees each year whether you are elegible to use it.
Maintenance fees for this year are over $700.00 and supposed to be $200.00 every other year. We are now told that we have to pay maintenance fees, taxes, insurance and etc on 2 properties instead of just the one we purchased. We put the purchase on their credit card and paid it off before 6 months so there wouldn't be any interest. We were also told we could go to Bora Bora and that's not possible unless we pay a lot of extra money in addition to our points.
We were told if we were not happy, they would purchase it back.
Also not true. Every time we try and make a reservation, we are told nothing is available, nut we could always stay in a comfort inn and some places don't even have comfort inns available.
