Scam Timeshare
- - Bought cash in 2016 for a Bluegreen unit.
- - Resorts are run down with poor service.

do not, whatever you do, buy a timeshare from bluegreen resorts. the resorts are run-down pos with horrible customer service.
purchased in cash a unit in 2016 and requested to relinquish my unit after ten years because the maintenance fees were going up $200 every year.
they charged me $4,000.00 to get out of the unit, plus my $2,000.00 in maintenance dues for the year. I still had $17,000 in points still in the account, but they said they were worth nothing, so I said your timeshare is worth nothing and will make sure everyone knows.

- - Joining takes a seven-hour process.
- - Booking is impossible; many properties are storm-damaged.

Bluegreen is nothing more than a snake oil sales business. You join after a relentless seven-hour grind just to leave the office.
Booking properties is never possible and oh, by the way, most properties are damaged from storms. If you're willing to book a year out and take your chances, maybe. Properties are rundown, dingy, and the well-stocked kitchens are not. They contain minimal items that are well-worn.
Bluegreen charges exorbitant maintenance fees and rarely fixes anything. They show a 'model' room but none are anything that nice. They add membership fees and charge you to save points you can't use anyway because of unavailability. They cannot be trusted.
Stay away at all costs... just a money hungry company.

I want to talk with a person who makes decisions. My husband has cancer.
He has had a stroke. He is 74 and I am 76. When we purchased several years ago, it was presented as re-salable real estate.
We now have a $3000 maintenance fee that is in collections and we cant get rid of the thing even though it is paid forwe are Bronze for what its worth. We cant and wont pay the fee.

Let me out of the contract. My wife had a stroke and there's never a handicap room, or we don't have enough points.
I pay maintenance fees every year and have only been able to use it one time in 5 years. It's the worst mistake I've ever made.
So, how do I get out of the contract? Let someone else have it who can use it.

Save points
- - Points must be booked to save; they expire.
- - 14,000 points near expiry; 2,000 saved for a vacation.
- - Covid and job loss delayed trips.
Have 12000 points we cant save unless we book them. If we cant go we will still loose the points.
That doesnt seem fair. Maybe some people can afford to go on a vacation every year but we cant. We were hoping to be able to use all of our points which is 14000 that is ready to expire and the 2000 saved for a nice long vacation in a really nice place. We couldnt go in 2020 because of Covid and couldnt go last year because one of us lost our job due to companies *** down.
Now we are just starting to get enough time to vacation again. I think this is totally unfair. We bought, pay club dues, and maintain certain fees and they tell me we cant save the 14000 points. I even offered to pay an extra fee to save them.
Very discusted owner. By the way we have been an owner for more then 15 years and this is how Bluegreen treats us.

Scammers, fraudulent information

These people are terrible!! They present to you that its such a good plan until you get involved and finally get access to the site to start looking for vacations.
Biggest rip off ever. The salesperson, Brian in the Myrtle Beach office has to be the worst. He told us how to use our points and start a travel business like him abs his wife did. This is totally against their policy but he used it as a selling point.
We tried to cancel and it was during the holidays so we were a little outside of the date. Corporate said the sales office will determine and the sales office said that corporate office made the decision. Omg. What liars!!
Dont do it whatever you do.
Dont even go to a presentation to even listen. They lie to you the entire time!!

Same experience and unable to book anything. Last place we stayed was in terrible shape and it took an hour to check in.
Phone did not work, carpet stained and kitchen had very few things in it. Musty smell, we did not go barefoot in the condo. Definitely not like the room we saw when we joined.
Bluegreen ended up being a very dishonest company after they have your money. It's sad people dump their savings into something that should have been great only to find out it's a terrible company.
I have the same experience with them and i got help after i reported @ m a d a c o v i . c o
