I purchased a "vacation" at bass pro in Nashville. We went to Gatlinburg Tenn. and stayed at the mountain loft location. We went to our 90 min meeting and was there for several hours and talked into buying a "sampler package" after being told that this was a one time offer.. Buy now or never get the offer again by law.. The following fall we went to the laurel crest site at Pigeon Forge. Went to another meeting to get us to upgrade and be owners and told them we did not want to buy. This was a low pressure sales. We signed the papers and left. Due to being lied to many times our sampler was adjusted to allow the use of our points we went again in the spring.
Once again we were required to go to a meeting and the pressure was on, we were there for almost 5 hrs. and bought a small package of which we regretted almost from the time we walked out the door. This goes against the LAW that we could only be offered this one time and one time only. We even signed the paper saying we declined the offer and could not be offered it again. If this place was on the up and up it would have used a mortgage company instead of putting it all on a credit card or 2 at high interest..... All the things we were told was a crock and was distorted.
The able to go anywhere any time was untrue as booking was difficult and almost impossible at most places unless there was a possibility of 3 foot of snow. The "property that we bought would go up in value really has no value to speak of. Condition of the rooms varied from very nice to *** poor. This past week we went once again and talked with our "handlers" and were informed that the problem was that we owned too few points and needed to buy more to get the most for our buck.... We must have sucker on our forehead. To top that off we were given 2 free weeks a year for 3 years that not so free as there was as always a large fee to activate and use our free gift.
