We get a call from a referal. Offering us, for $99 a 2 night ,three day stay in pigeon forge, Tn.
Knowing the 90 sales pitch, we booked. When we recieved our packet, they would not inform us of where we would be staying till we "check in" at the welcome center. So, this went smoothly, then we were told the presentation woukd be 2 hours and got our hotel keys, (2 star). Nothing fancy, we were required to pay the taxes at check in.
The next morning, we head to the preview center, not the actual resort. Sit through the 90, then they toss #s at you left and right. We all know the deal. 3 hrs later, we leave (not owners).
And head for the gifting counter. We are given the choice of cruise, hotel, or condo. We chose the 7 night condo stay as our gift.
Our "free" gift rrquires a $50 booking fee (must be paid up front when you mail in your request, non refundable)and up to $199 in resort fees and taxes when booking. Again, when you fill out the forms for the free gift vaca, they will not tell you where you are staying, only offer you a choice of locales.
