We use our UDI timeshare at Shenandoah Crossing at the most one weekend per year. We are UDI owners - bought before Bluegreen acquired it.
We pay horrendous maintenance fees each year. In August we called for a fall reservation. We talked about possible dates and settled on 9/26&27. Arrived here tonight (9/26) and were told our reservation was for 10/31!
How they got that wrong is a "mystery". First they sent us to a cabin that was already occupied (yes, the key worked and we were able to walk in on the people!) and after that episode told us that they did not have an appropriate cabin for us. We had to settle for a smaller cabin with fewer amenities or else "they couldn't do anything for us." Getting decent service seems to be an ongoing problem for UDI owners here. If you are one, how have you dealt with it?
I find their business practices unethical (this is not the first negative experience with them.) I want to change that if possible but it will take the power of numbers, I believe.
